These terms cover your use of Foxhole Web, operated by Foxhole Research, Inc. of Charlotte, North Carolina. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

What Foxhole Web is

A search engine that reads live web pages and uses a language model to write a single answer, with citations to the pages it drew from. It is early software and it changes often.

Answers can be wrong

This matters more than anything else on this page. Answers are generated by a model reading pages it found seconds earlier. It can misread a source, miss context, repeat something false that a source stated confidently, or cite a page that does not support the claim.

The citations exist so you can check. Follow them before you rely on anything that matters.

Nothing here is legal, medical, financial, or professional advice. Do not make decisions with real consequences based on an answer alone.

Using the service

Do not use Foxhole Web to break the law, to harass anyone, or to generate material that harms people. Do not attempt to overwhelm, probe, or break the service. Do not scrape it, resell its output as your own product, or run automated queries against it without our written permission. Rate limits apply and we may tighten them at any time.

Accounts

An account is tied to an email address you control. Keep access to that inbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us at [email protected] if you think your account has been misused.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You may close yours whenever you like.

Content and ownership

The pages Foxhole Web cites belong to whoever wrote them. We claim no ownership over that material and we are not responsible for what it says. Following a citation takes you to a site we do not control.

The Foxhole Web name, logo, design, and code belong to Foxhole Research, Inc. You keep whatever rights you have in the questions you ask. By saving an answer you allow us to store it on your behalf so we can show it back to you.

Availability

We make no promise that the service will be available, fast, or working at any given moment. It runs on modest hardware and we may change, pause, or shut down any part of it without notice.

Warranties and liability

Foxhole Web is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Foxhole Research, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed one hundred United States dollars or the amount you have paid us, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes belong to the state or federal courts sitting in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version.
